Biography of Ruth Regina

For the past 50 years, Ruth Regina has been activly involved in the film and television industry as a Motion Picture and Television Make-up Artist, Make-up Director and Wig Master for the entire run of the Jackie Gleason Show in Miami Beach.  Ruth's credits also include involvement with local film productions such as Scarface starring Al Pacino and Striptease starring Demin Moore. As a local favorite for celebrity favors, she was responsible for make-up work on the set of the Miss Universe Pageant for 14 years and coverage of the National Presidential Conventions (Democrat and Republican parties). As a well-respected artist in the entertainment industry, Ruth has proudly donned her work on the likes of past Presidents of the United States, supermodels Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Heidi Klum, and big screen actresses such as Jennifer Lopez, Marisa Tomei and Rosalyn Sanchez.

Most recentlyh Ruth has undertakine Wiggles, a new venture that designs and manufactures wigs for dogs.  She has received international media recognition for this novel concept and appeard on television shows including Late Night with David Letterman, a documentary created by teh Canadian Broadcast Company, German news broadcasts, as well as a host of local and national media print and broadcast outlets.

Ruth Regina is an 8th generation wig maker who combines old world craftsmanship with modern technology.  The quality of her work is second to none.  Within her wig shop in Bay Harbour Islands, hangs pictures of her with stars including Judy Garland (who referred to her as a "Wonder Worker") to Marisa Tomei.  Regina's work is displayed on dozens of mannequin heads on the shelves of her store just blocks away from the famed Bal Harbour shops.
